Your Bathroom Reno Should be About Luxury

949Views

There are few areas of your home more rewarding to upgrade than your bathroom. What is it about the bathroom that gives us a sense of luxury from such simple things? Done right, the bathroom can be a point of considerable pride when showing off your home. Bathrooms are a place of simplicity, sensual surfaces, water, and cosy towels. It is where we go to become beautiful and where we end the day washing away the stress. Our bathrooms are the most personal part of our home. Here is one direction you could go to maximize the luxury of your bathroom remodel.

  • Beautiful tiles: Part of the sensuality of a bathroom is the feel of the floor against your bare feet. Bathroom tiles need not only look beautiful, they should feel beautiful as well. Find a surface that is more than just smooth. What you are looking for is a natural surface, but not rough. Smooth stone is good if it has a slightly uneven surface. Ceramic tiles with slightly undulating surfaces can also give the natural impression. You’ll know it when you feel it. In the shower, take it up another notch, use an even more irregular surface and you will get a foot massage as you shower. Your feet will thank you.
  • Shower: Your shower gives quite a few opportunities for luxury. We already discussed the floor, but how about the walls. If you have the space, give a lot of room to your shower, make at least one wall out of a rock surface, and include on that wall a shower bench made of the same stone. The outer walls will be elegant in frameless glass. Somewhere in the shower there should be an alcove for your products. And there must be a rain head above and at the very least a handheld shower head to go with it. But wall jets are also nice. Follow this link for expert bathroom renovations in Sydney.

  • Jack and Jill Sinks: If you can’t have separate bathrooms, the next best thing is separate sinks. Particularly with plenty of mirror space and generous amounts of flat panel lighting to highlight your every flaw. So, you will be the last one to see that flaw of course. For the rest of the room think minimal and clever storage. A toilet with a hidden tank is a nice touch.

This is a very limited list, there are numerous things that can be done. But consider your experience. Make the bathroom, your favourite room, it is the one place where you can truly be yourself.
